As a dancer, Sarah shares a deep bond with the language of movement. However, one of her most valuable experiences as a mover actually occurred during a time of injury. Turning to Pilates for support, Sarah found a greater appreciation and respect for physical movement and furthermore, for the relationship between the mind, body, and spirit.
A native to Georgia, Sarah was first introduced to Pilates and its benefits at a young age through her dance training. Sarah’s interest for Pilates only grew stronger when she went on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at Florida State University graduating Summa Cum Laude. Inspired by her studies in dance science, kinesiology, and reformer, Sarah came to understand what a ‘powerhouse’ this practice really was noticing significant improvements in her athletic performance and daily stress levels.
Sarah received her formal training in Pilates through Polestar’s Comprehensive Studies. From which, she received her certification as a Polestar Pilates Studio Practitioner.
Sarah loves how Pilates is a tool to be utilized by all people of all physical ranges. As a teacher, Sarah challenges individuals to meet their personal goals while encouraging them to become stronger, healthier, and happier selves with the hope that they too will find a greater awareness and love for their own bodies.
