Hannah started practicing yoga almost sixteen years ago after swimming competitively for ten years. For Hannah, yoga was a way of turning away from the strains of year-long training, two-a-day workouts, and the world of athletic competition, and became a personal journey of self-reflection, transformation, and growth through mindfulness and meditation.
As a teacher, Hannah explores the aspects of yoga philosophy that emphasize self-reflection and personal growth as well as the physical challenges and benefits of an alignment-based practice. The goal of her classes is to provide a framework for students to explore the strength and flexibility of their bodies as they integrate breathing techniques and awareness into their practice. Hannah completed her 200 hour certification with Joe Palese and Astrid Santana and is looking forward to beginning her 500 hour training with the Pranakriya school this fall.
