Shelley received her Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Houston. After a brief period teaching in the classroom for public schools, she started her family. While raising her children she taught many of the enhancement/activity classes that her children attended. She also volunteered at each of the schools, and for the activities her children were involved in.
With all three kids in school full-time, and a love for movement, exercise and wellness, her fondness to share (teach) what she values so, she became certified as a R.Y.T. 200(Registered Yoga Teacher) through the Yoga Alliance in 2003 in Richmond, VA. She is currently certified as E-RYT 200, gaining this extra experience through continued education, workshops,class attendance, and teaching over 10 classes per week over the past 13 years.
Shelley and her loving, supportive husband Troy have three grown children. Having spent many hours volunteering in the classroom and with extra-curricular activities with her kids, Shelley is now focusing on continued education in Yoga. .
From 2010 – 2015, Shelley and Rabbi Judy Schindler taught Torah Yoga at Temple Beth El (Charlotte, NC) on Friday mornings. They are currently working on publishing a book for Torah Yoga.
Shelley and Troy might be seen around town bicycling, walking, and getting to know the areas of Decatur and Atlanta.
