Leslie is a recent Atlanta transplant hailing from San Diego. She is currently pursuing a Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Emory University. She’s a firm believer that yoga and medicine go hand-in-hand, and is thrilled to incorporate both realms in her teaching.
Leslie fist began practicing yoga in 2005. At first, yoga was seemingly just a physical practice that complemented her other athletic activities. However, as time went on, her practice became much more consistent, and she began to become aware of the amazing transformative effects of yoga. She found she was better able to cope with stress and uncertainty. Her relationship with her body transformed–not only did she become stronger, but she began to develop a greater appreciation and love for her body and its capabilities. Since then, her passion for yoga has grown exponentially, and her daily practice provides an opportunity to reconnect, heal, challenge herself, and find contentment and stillness in the present moment.
Leslie teaches a wide variety of classes for all levels, from powerful Vinyasa flow to gentle Hatha with a strong focus on alignment and creative, fluid sequencing. In addition, Leslie is certified to teach Yoga for a Happy Back, a therapeutic alignment-based style of yoga to treat and prevent chronic back pain and injuries. Her other certifications include: Restorative Yoga, Pre and Postnatal Yoga, Healing Touch, and Mindfulness Self-Compassion.
Leslie’s classes aim to cultivate radical awareness, strength, mobility and flexibility, peeling away the layers to reveal your truest, most beautiful self.
