Ashley began practicing yoga in college, initially drawn to the physical benefits of being “skinny and flexible.” She soon realized that yoga offers something deeper; it awakened her spirit and calmed her mind. She became curious about the often-overlooked aspects of yoga: meditation and pranayama. Eager for more, she sought out and practiced with yoga teachers around the country and continues to study and practice transcendental mediation. Ashley has discovered great healing on her mat – physical, emotional and mental – and has a tremendous amount of gratitude for the practice. She believes that yoga helps us live more consciously, graciously and in the present moment. Wanting to share this love with others, Ashley completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification in Hatha Yoga under Joe Palese at Decatur Yoga and Pilates. She has received additional training in Yin Yoga under Douglas Johnson.
