Yoga Therapy

Through the application of Physical Postures, Breathing and Meditation techniques, Yoga Therapy provides a holistic approach to the healing process. Yoga therapy is different from other modalities of healing in that it integrates the healing of the body with the healing of the mind and emotions.

Yoga Therapy can help you...

  • If you are healing from an injury and traditional modes of healing have not been successful or have only been partially successful.
  • If you are in healing mode, and want to learn how you can help your body return to normal mobility safely.
  • If you are injured and want to work back into your previous yoga practice.
  • If you have chronic pain, anxiety or depression

Yoga Therapy can help with many conditions including:

  • Orthopedic injuries (knee pain, shoulder pain, back pain)
  • Chronic pain, Fibromyalgia, Osteoporosis, Arthritis
  • Anxiety, Depression, sleep disorders.

In the initial evaluation you will receive an assessment of your muscle length and strength as well as joint mobility and movement patterns. A customized plan of care will be developed for your individual situation, with the goal of improving strength, flexibility, stability and movement. This plan will also address specific needs such as improving energy levels and reducing anxiety/depression levels. Each visit will be focused on helping you to bring balance to your body and mind and make sure you are moving and healing safely and effectively.

Even if you are not injured or dealing with a specific issue, you can book a private yoga therapy session to learn more about your body and its movement patterns - for example, emphasis on correct alignment and how to progress safely into postures. Private sessions also provide a great opportunity to deepen and instill more confidence in your yoga practice, while allowing you to focus yourself and your own individual needs.

Pricing for Private Sessions:
First Visit: $75
Follow up sessions: $60
