Pilates Basics Class with Chelsea

If you are new to Pilates, please start here. We offer this Basics class on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 11:00 am. This class covers activation of the pelvic floor; use of deep abdominal muscles; pelvic, shoulder and head positioning. Learn the fundamentals and beginning exercises.  

 

Pilates with Chelsea are inspiring and educational classes that give the student tools to master the basics and progress through the subtle layers of the work to more advanced movements that make you feel really good, strong and balanced.  
Chelsea O'Halloran is STOTT PILATES® certified and has been teaching pilates mat classes for 10 years; training private clients for 4.   STOTT, often referred to as the "ivy league" school of pilates, provided a depth of knowledge that really empowered to Chelsea to specialize in training post-rehabilitation clients, while teaching challenging mat classes to all levels-- from post-partum clients to athletes.  
Chelsea has been teaching classes at DYP for over 5 years and designed the "Pilates Basics" class with brand new pilates students in mind.  This class is entirely unique to DYP and over the years students have raved about what they have learned in that hour.  It's like getting a functional anatomy course teaching you just how to 'operate your vehicle', both in a pilates class and off the mat.
